Week 3
It’s been another awesome, yet busy, week in the course. I’m learning so much and getting heaps of hands on experience in application!
I forgot to mention in my previous blog that in Week 2 we were given a brief where we were instructed to develop and design our own fashion concept. We used story boards to clearly outline meet the requirements of the brief with a little of our own personal spin and professionalism on the finished product. During my research for the project I read articles on how this process is done for a lot of the big fashion shows around the world which made the assignment all that more exciting, and so much fun!!
This week we have had a focus on bridal looks. I’ve seen a few of my friends get married and I never knew just how many considerations a great make-up artist should be across. When possible working closely with the hair stylist and the photographer, the make-up artist needs to be prepared for varying weather conditions, lighting, time of day, and ambiance (or theme) of the wedding. Also, having a good understanding of how the photographer works will only enhance the results.
I love how the concepts & skills that I have learnt over the past 3 weeks can actually be applied in real world situations. My eyes have been opened to the opportunities that the Diploma in Make-Up Artistry Services from Demi International can take me!
