School based beauty trainee at Cert II level may attract the following funding for their employer
· $1,250 @ 3 months – commencement incentive
· $750.00 @ 3 months – school based commencement incentive
· $750.00 @ completion school based retention incentive ( for employers who keep trainee on after Cert II)
The employer must employ the student for a minimum of 50 days per annum or through the life of the traineeship and the traineeship must effect the students curriculum. ( some students will swap it for a subject) the Certificate II will contribute 4 credit points to the students QCE.
The employer can groom an employee into their business to be at a level where they can start to contribute to the business after the traineeship.
There is minimal cost associated to the employer ( only wages) ( incentives as above can be used to offset against the cost)
There is no cost to deliver the course as because the student is school based it is covered by the state government
The employer is investing in the local community offering a student the opportunity to move straight into a career in beauty following the completion of high school
The student attains up to 4 credit points toward their QCE at completion of year 12.
The student gains a nationally accredited qualification in beauty
This opportunity is win win for the employer and for the student.
