      I am Jessica Lynn and I specialise in special effects makeup. I am self-taught and began doing this just over 5 years ago kind of by accident. It has become my passion and has taken me on a very colourful and exciting journey. My plan at Demi International is to bring SFX to life with my humour, passion and madness! There are no limits to what can be done with SFX and the ride it can take you on is filled with laughter, blood, guts, gore, glitter and creatures! I can guarantee there won’t be one boring moment as I am here to shake things up and show my students just how amazing the world of SFX can be!

      Bree has completed a diploma in specialist makeup services as well as an international diploma in fashion, theatre and media makeup. Bree has also been recognised for her work as a state makeup artist for Cosmopolitan Models and the Miss World Australia state and national finals. Most recently with Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Bree had the opportunity to travel to China as the makeup design consultant and subject matter expert for the new Lionsgate Entertainment World theme park.

      DANIELLE SNASHALL

      Danielle has had an exciting career working with both Australian and International film stars. She started in mainstream television studios on a freelance basis until she turned her attention to Drama. Specifically, one show sparked a love for special effects (All Saints) where she worked closely with nurses and the Art department and created all kinds of wounds, Limbs and operation scenes. She then completed further training with Rick Connelly FX studios and went on to assist him on both wolf creek 1 and 2. She has worked on Great Gatsby, Wolverine, Mad Max Fury Road to name a few more.

      CHAD ATKINSON

      Professional Makeup Artist

      For 25 years, Chad has worked professionally in the Los Angeles Special FX industry for film and television. He’s worked on an impressive list of films, including, Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, Oscar-winning movies like The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and won an Emmy for his work on HBO’s The Pacific. Chad currently co-operates a Special FX studio on the Gold Coast called Stingray Sushi Studios with co- Emmy winner Jac Charlton.

We work closely with Industry Experts and continue to be dedicated to providing the right kind of training to provide our graduates with the best chance of creating their dream career, developing an industry network and beginning the creation of their professional portfolio. You will have 4 professional photographic shoots every 10 weeks, producing your own professional portfolio.

      A Diploma of Screen and Media (specialised makeup) CUA51015 with Demi International provides a pathway to higher education degrees such as Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Communications and Event Management.

      TUITION FEES The course tuition costs are $16,900 of which up to $15,793 can be covered by VET Student Loans*. The balance can be covered on payment plan of $24.29 per week inc. direct debit fees. *If you apply for a VET Student Loan you may need to undertake a LLN Assessment.
      There are 3 flexible payment options available, VET Student Loans (for eligible students), Study Loans, Interest Free Direct Debit Payment Plan – Self Funded.

      MICHELLE MICHAELSON

      Michelle has worked on 20+ model live runway shows where she has designed makeup looks to showcase designer’s creations. She has worked backstage in theatre and the fashion industry, in wardrobe, makeup and styling and was fortunate to work with Miranda Kerr early in her career.

      DANIELLE LYTH

      Danielle’s passion for makeup is what initially inspired her career in the beauty industry, now spanning 20 years. Danielle trained as a beauty therapist on the Gold Coast and shortly after moved to Tropical North Queensland where she continued her journey in Beauty. Drawn to the abundant Wedding industry in the Cairns region Danielle began to focus specifically on that.  She continues to nurture her love of creativity within the hair and makeup industry by continually learning. Danielle has been involved in a wide variety of work, including events, corporate, editorial and photoshoots.

      MELISSA CHRISTIE

      Melissa started her career by combining her management experience with her makeup skills and becoming the Chief Stewardess, managing the Spa and Makeup studio onboard luxury super yachts. She has trained in the UK, Italy and Sydney. Worked as a consultant and MUA for Estee Lauder, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Tom Ford and La Mer. Makeup is my passion and doesn’t feel like work for me. The face is my canvas and my makeup studio is my playground.
